She is a 28-year old woman who is married to Douglas Young. She works as a interior designer at ICON International Designs in the commercial district in New Horizon. She’s been doing this for over ten years and has a smaller management position in the company. She is very popular among the staff and always strives to make a positive working environment for her and her colleagues. Catherine is a warm and happy person who loves to help others and lately she has visited William and Sonya Young, deep out in the plan countries , and helped them with various household chores. She loves her husband above all else and longs for the day when Douglas returns from his long duty onboard the Demanthos space station.
He is a positive and happy man who always strives to do the right thing. He is somewhat naive and rather clumsy from time to time.
He grew up in the plan countries far outside New Horizon in a loving family where his parents, William and Sonya Young, gave him and his brother Thomas a loving and
caring childhood.
Because his father worked as an antiquarian, with a special focus on the classic 20th century, it didn’t take long before Douglas gained a deep interest for the popular
culture of that century.
He absorbed most of it and was quickly drawn to movies and games but also small action figures in plastic who depicted fastastic looking aliens. This, in particular,
made him very interested in the universe and space related topics at an early age.
His mother worked for a long time as a midwife in one of the nereby hospitals and she was a warm and loving woman that spred joy around her wherever she went.
After he finished his studies in the astro physics field at the James Matheson University in New Amsterdam he responded to a job ad where they was looking for a class-A2
astro physician.
Douglas and his wife Catherine had recently bought a house and he was very tempted by the high salary that the new job offered.
He did however overlook a vital detail in the ad and that meant that if he was going to get the new job he would have to work as a miner for eight months on earth’s first
colony in space, Demanthos.
Douglas got the job and had no other choice than to take the job as a miner.
He loves his wife above all else and all he wants is to end his terrible duty onboard the station so he can return home to his wonderful family.
Fritz Kellner is an old man from Germanea (former Germany) who has worked as a collector and an antiquarian his whole life. He had a little shop in Berlin but business was
slow and he had to do something to be able to support himself properly.
It would later appear that his brother, Wolfgang Kellner, was a successful businessman that had a seat on the board of directors on the Demanthos space station. He quickly
offered his brother to come to the station and open up a shop there instead.
Fritz, who didn’t have a family, had nothing to lose and after six months of preparations he moved up to the mining colony and has enjoyed a steady and stable income for over
twenty years.
One of his most loyal customers on the station is the worker Douglas Young.
Douglas, who thanks to his father’s profession, feels right at home in dusty environments with old collector items visits the shop nearly every day and Fritz and Douglas has
slow but steady become good friends.
Fritz has never learned to speak english properly and his way of speaking is a chaotic mixture of german and english and it can sound very strange to an outsider when he speaks.
Matt is a happy and very confident man who works on the Demanthos space station as a service technician.
The only child to Fred and Wilma Carlsen he early on showed that he had a drive to do something meaningful with his life.
His parents divorced when he was very young and that gave him a tough childhood. He was also bullied in school due to the fact that his parents shared the same name as the
cartoon figures in ’The Flintstones’. This made him hard and even more determined to succeed in life.
All of this took a turn for the worse when his mother passed away from cancer when he was a young teenager. His father, who was a stable point in his life, raised him by
himself and the relationsship between them became very deep after that.
After he dropped of from the technical university in New Havenport he felt that his life lacked direction and for a long time he didn’t know what he wanted to do with his life.
All this changed when his father, Fred Carlsen, recieved a management position for the interstellar traffic up on the Demanthos space station.
Since he didn’t want to spend long stretches of time away from his son, he simply asked if Matt wanted to join him on the space station and work as a service technician.
Eager to do something meaningful with his life he accepted and got a job where the payment was good.
Of of his oldest friends was Douglas Young and when Matt realised the he too was going to work up there he became very glad.
With his father and one of his best friends on the same place, life is very good for Matt Carlsen right now.
A mighty warrior from the planet Vaath. He comes from the only city on the planet, the enourmous megacity Drax, where his father, Kaarth R’boss, is king.
Hardened by the unforgiving desert climate on the planet, Orloo has become a tough and strong warrior who puts fear into his enemies hearts.
He is a good strategist and knows how to act out on the battlefield.
The most important thing for a vaathwarrior is war and conquest and to partake in bloody conflicts, where they’ll be able to show their strengh and courage is the one thing
that every vaathwarrior strive for.
There are many gods within the vaathic culture but the most important one is Gu’ul, the god of war, and this is the one that all vaathwarriors worship and live by.
Orloo is extremely strict and brutal towards those around him but he always let honor and glory guide his actions. To show cowardice or fear or be forced to live as a slave
is a crime worse than death and this is something that the god of war doesn’t look upon with forgiving eyes.
After being out on a dangerous mission he was captured by the criminal organization, the black crescent, and was taken to the intergalactic space station Sh’kaar where he was
going to be sold as a slave.
In this place he was saved by none other than the scrawny human Douglas Young, whose likeness he had never seen before.
Thanks to this act of courage, where he was saved from a life of slavery, Orloo has entered into a life debt to Douglas and he will be at his side and protect him for as long
as he lives.
William and Sonya Young are Douglas Youngs parents. They met at an early age in the coastal town of Albert’s Cove where William studied to become a antiquarian and Sonya had
just started practicing as a healthcare assistant at the local hospital.
After William had completed his studies they got married and moved to New Horizon, where he started working as an antiquarian at one of the local libraries focusing on the
20th century.
Not long after that they had two children, Thomas and Douglas, and after a couple of years they decided to move out to the plan countries where the environment was much more
calm and suitable for raising children.
William is a large man with a huge mustache that has always been his signature. A happy man with a very dry sense of humor and always armed with a glint in his eye, he was the
one that Douglas looked up to early on and shaped his personality after.
His mother was a beautiful woman with a youthful face and a figure that was athletic. She was a stable anchor in Douglas life and she was always by his side when he needed her
wise counsel.
This made him calm and peaceful of mind.
When Douglas was a grown man he met his future wife, Catherine, while he was working extra on one of New Horizon’s gas stations for interstellar space travel. It was love at
first sight.
William and Sonya loved Catherine as their own daughter and she helped the elderly couple a lot in their house with various household chores.
The same year as the couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, Douglas found out that he would be working at the Demanthos space station for eight months.
They were very happy for their son and they are eagerly await his return so they can all live together in harmony.
Dorolib is a Meshha from the planet Meshharion. The thing that distinguish these lifeforms is that they have tre genders. These are divided into three phases during their
lifecycle.
The first is called M’Be and this is when they are living as both male and female. After this they enter the M’Fa phase where they become fully female and finally they
transcend into the male phase. This is called M’Pa and they exist in this state until their death.
Dorolib has a medical background on his homeplanet but due to several fatal decisions in his youth he suffered financial difficulties and eventually found himself in the
clutches of the infamous ganster Bada T’ssk.
Now he is a slave and is forced to work under Badas ruthless regime. It is a terrible life that Dorolib has created for himself, and as a captive on Badas ship, he works as
the ships doctor.
Dorolib is a very manipulative person and his personality is slippery and nasty. The last thing you want to do is to put your trust in him because he will use every opportunity
he can to trick others to better himself.
An insane and utterly deadly gangster who rules over a motley crue of criminal treasure hunters who will do anything to earn quick credits.
Bada rules over his crew with an iron fist and they are all slaves under him. The few who dare to challenge his leadership do not live long enough to talk about it and his
totalitarian rule over the crew is total.
Bada originates from the planet Oldine, far out in the Gool’ran sector. Due to prolonged civil wars between the various clans and a rampart environmental destruction, Oldine
is a very inhospitable place to live.
This has shaped Bada T’ssk and he is a tall and muscular person whose body is hardened by the worst possible weather conditions.
He can withstand most things and this has meant that very few people dare to challenge him as it would most likely lead to certain death.
A while ago Bada and his crew managed to get hold of the coordinates to the mythical burial ship Anco-Barr-Thei. They found it and were parting with its priceless treasures
when someone on board triggered the internal alarm.
Furious by the unfortunate event, they were about to flee from there when they discovered and captured a scrawny life form, the apperance of which none of them had seen before.
It would appear that they had captured Douglas Young. Bada T’ssk was absolutely furious that they had missed Anco-Barr-Thei’s treasures and all they had was the wily human
they had found on borard.
Unable to do anything else they set course for the intergalactic space station Sh’kaar where Douglas Young was to be sold into slavery.
He is the father of the vaath warrior Orloo Sann Loarl R’boss and is king of the mega city of Drax. He is also the one who rules over the vaath order in the city and is the
harsh and authoritarian leader that most of the inhabitants of the planet look up to.
Kaarth’s rule is harsh but fair and Orloo modeled his personality after him early on.
He had four sons Orloo, Korm, Groosh and Bantoo and Orloo and is the oldest of them.
Korm was banished from the capital early on due to several acts of violence where he indiscriminately killed hundreds of innocent people in the city after nightfall.
Besides Orloo, only Korm remains alive bur due to the latter’s banishment and actions, which severely lacks honor in Vaath society, Kaarth R’boss looks forward to the day
when his eldest son, Orloo, takes the throne and rule the city with a hard but fair hand.
Recently, unrest in the Kolaii Tundra, which is near the infamous Gol’Dowin Pass, has forced Kaarth to send Orloo out on a very dangerous mission.
Far too long has passed since Orloo left the planet and Kaarth is now eagerly waiting for him to return home.
Po’chakk Mendoksee is a notorious slave driver from the planet Lobu.
Similar to the planet Biss in the outer edges of the Laam system, Lobu has a fixed rotation around the sun it orbits.
Due to the extreme heat, which the blue star subjects Lobu to, their civilization has been entirely concentrated on the backside of the planet.
Because it is always night there and the similarities with the planet Biss are striking, Lobu has been nicknamed ’Biss’ midnight sister’ by the inhabitants of the galaxy.
The main species living there have been shaped by the eternal night for thousands of generations. They are tall and gray, with two arms and legs, and are known for their
four hypnotic eyes.
Because of the constant darkness where the lobuans live, they have exceptionally good eyesight. They can even see microscopic and seemingly invisible details that no other
living creature is capable of.
Po’chakk was raised in the multi-level city of Doolah, the planet’s capital, by very wealthy parents who owned several large districts on the outskirts of the metropolis.
They made their living by brutally exploiting and controlling more or less legal labor in the city, and Po’chakk was quick to take up his parents’ legacy.
The easy-going lifestyle with great financial resources helped shape Po’chakk. He usually wears an exclusive white coat and has a staff of minions who blindly obey his
every wish.
He quickly acquired expensive habits from this lifestyle and, in addition to a penchant for the slave market, he collects rare and precious antiques of all kinds. The more
expensive and difficult to access, the better.
When he was an adult, he had a huge colony constructed on the barren planet of Fierenna, but he went much further than his parents when it comes to treating his subjects.
Po’chakk has a dark, sadistic streak that no one in his family has, and most of his life is spent buying slaves as cheaply as possible and shipping them to his huge slave
colony on Fierenna.
He uses most of them as laborers there but some of them, who somehow interest him, he performs bestial experiments on to satisfy his dark desires.
With a relentless drive to get richer at any cost, he visits great many planets to see if he can expand his slave business in any way.
He is a frequent face on the giant Sh’kaar slave market and he has even tried to make a name for himself of the planet Vaath.
However, on the latter place it has proved very difficult for him to establish himself as the vaath order does not tolerate people of Po’chakk’s caliber and he has been
banished from the planet several times.
It was at the Sh’kaar slave market that Po’chakk spotted the last human, Douglas Young, in one of the green energy cylinders there.
He had never seen such a strange and disgusting life form before and he knew then and there that he would have him at any cost.
What dark and bestial experiments Po’chakk would then perform on the poor human, he only knows himself.
Family's Golden Retriever.
This infamous vaath-warrior is the younger brother of the warrior prince Orloo Sann Loarl R’boss.
Why Korm lacks the middle title in the name that Orloo has is because the latter is the one who will inherit the throne and Sann Loarl means ’true follower of the king’ in
vaathic.
When Korm was a young vonn’ka, his father, Kaarth R’boss, noticed that he was surrounded by unusally dark thoughts of death and destruction and seemed to be possessed by
them at all hours of the day.
Kaarth understood that the hard training to become an honorable vaath-warrior would dispel these thoughts so he had Korm begin his training earlier than expected.
He learned everything incredibly quickly and became more powerful with each passing solar passage, but something about him was not quite right.
As he matured and entered the Kehmen’ka phase, his condition only got worse and worse.
Korm had a bottomless darkness about him and his bloodlust knew no bounds at all.
Of course, this was not fitting for a vaath-warrior so the king decided that Korm would have a special serum injected into him that would reduce the influence of his dark
kehmen’ka powers.
The serum was developed by the vaath-order’s intelligence division in Drax and Korm was taken to their underground laboratory where the serum was to be administered.
He was locked onto a tilted metal bed with powerful energy chains for protection and the experiment began.
His body did not respond to the treatment at first but after several doses were injected into his body something terrible happened. Korm’s appearance changed and his eyes
turned completely black. He roared in pain and his face contorted with hatred and anger.
If this wasn’t enough, his kehmen’ka powers glowed in a way no one there had seen before. It was as if a new and unknown form of energy pulsed in his body.
He tore free from the energy chains as if they were made of paper and glared at the scientists with a hatred unparalleled in the galaxy.
They tried to stop him but it was already too late for them.
In an instant, he killed everyone there in a massive bloody massacre and then disappeared from there without a trace.
Not long after, innocent people started dying in the city under mysterious circumstances. This went on for a long time and after several hundred new victims had been
discovered, it was clear who the perpetrator was.
It was the king’s son, Korm R’boss, who was the killer and when the public found out, the king had no choice but to banish him from Drax and the planet Vaath.
No one knows his whereabouts but there are those who have claimed to have seen him on the distant planet of Dess Oora.
Karx Vaff belongs to a special race of highly developed scouts called Akamars.
They originate from the planet Raanx Ti that is located in the dark Kool’do belt.
The landscape there is of a more complex nature and it is not unusual for parts of it to shoot up in the air in long, grandiose arcs of rock.
To an outsider, the surroundings of Raanx Ti look more like a chaotic collection of land masses that spread up into the sky in all directions.
Most of their civilization is concentrated in these stone arches, or Vaa’xxen Plateaus, as the Akamars themselves call them.
This special terrain resulted in the Akamars quickly learning to live on the high land masses.
They also lived on the ground and the extreme differences in altitude between the landscapes meant that they developed a very advanced semse of smell, the equivalent of
which cannot be found in any other race in the galaxy.
Because of this, the Akamars have based their entire religion around their evolved organ and they all worship the goddess, Aks-V’togh, whom they call the patroness of smell.
The Akamars themselves are creatures known for their white fur, often decorated with beautiful patterns. They have blue eyes and look like a cross between a cat and a
muscular cougar.
They have pointed ears, fangs and sharp claws on both hands and feet and they walk on two legs.
However, it is the developed sense of smell that the Akamars are most famous for.
When they use this sense, they enter a special state that they call Voll-Xsor.
In this mode, they can sense odor differences on an atomic level and there is nothing that can escape them.
During their long history, the Akamars were dissatisfied with the complicated life that the plateaus offered and many of them emigrated to other worlds, one of which was
the planet Vaath.
They quickly acclimated there and in the capital city of Drax they laid the foundation for their highly regarded scouting institute. This institute is widely known and
their services are highly sought after in the galaxy.
Due to their free lifestyle, the Akamars have a hard time with authority and they serve the king of Drax with a somewhat reluctant air.
Karx Vaff is one of the most seasoned scouts at the institute and his son, Puu-Karx, who had just graduated from the academy, was very eager to follow in his father’s footsteps.
Extremely proud to be working alongside his son, they were tasked with tracking down and capturing the notorious killer, Korm R’boss.
Without much difficulty they managed to find the fallen Vaath warrior but before Karx could do anything Korm did the worst thing imaginable and killed Puu-Karx right before
his eyes.
After this tragic event, everything fell apart for Karx and his zest for life disappeared.
He quickly became addicted to Teljj blades and Rorrka gas and lived his broken life in various swamp bars in the city. He even tried to take his own life but failed.
160 Earth years later he pulled himself together and managed to regain parts of his old life again.
He started working for the scout institute again and not long after that he was summoned to an audience with the king of Drax.
It would appear that the king wanted Karx to assemble a group of scouts to seek out and capture his disgraced son, Korm R’boss, once and for all.
Karx’s heart immediately began to beat faster because he finally had a chance to set everything right. Finally, after all these years, he would have the opportunity to exact
his bloody revenge on his son’s killer.
One of the most notorious gangster leaders in the galaxy is the deadly and slightly insane Ak-Diir. Hailing from the planet Exx’el, he is a four-armed Maio colossus.
The planet itself is located in the Keenth system and there it orbits around its yellow parent star from a comfortable distance.
The temperature on Exx’el is normal and the planet, like Earth, has four seasons due to its tilt.
The planet has four moons, Dax’see, Bax’dol, Car’dex and Axx’lor and their presence affects Exx’el with violent tidal forces.
Exx’el has a healthy life fauna where multitudes of life forms enjoy the climate, but it is above all one race that dominates the planet and that is the large and muscular
Maio colossi.
What sets them apart from many other races in the galaxy is that they have four large arms. This, combined with their muscular bodies, makes them incredibly strong and they
are feared throughout much of the galaxy.
They are not that intelligent by themselves, but instead are driven by more primal urges, which usually makes them dangerous and erratic.
Most of them live in the primitive capital of Maiowe-Saroob and this city is located in the mountainous and inaccessible Maio region of the planet.
It is a very large area with complicated rock formations and life there is harsh and unforgiving for all who live there.
As the four moons constantly tear at Exx’el with their powerful tidal forces, the Maio region is extremely unstable. Scores of volcanoes are found here spewing lava and ash
and this has shaped the colossi and made them very hardened and weathered.
It was here that Ak-Diir grew up and early on he showed signs of a personality that was not like everyone else’s.
He was not afraid of anything and he was extremely risk-taking in everything he did.
His unstable temper was like a powder keg just waiting to explode and it was not uncommon for him to get into bloody battles with other colossi for no reason.
Even four-legged Ger’dane monsters, which were absolutely lethal to a Maio colossus, he attacked if they had disturbed him in any way.
With his bloodthirsty disposition, he set his sights on outer space early on and felt that he wanted to do something big.
When Ak-Diir was 140 Earth years old he hijacked an interstellar freighter in the capital. After a bloody battle with lots of casualties he made his way to the city of Bak
on the planet Biss.
Since it is well known that Biss is a haven for criminals, the choice was obvious to him.
Once acclimated to the rainy megacity, he sought out the various gangs there and carried out a long series of missions for them.
With his massive physique and penchant for blood and violence, he was ready for the criminal life.
He quickly rose through the ranks and it wasn’t long before he laid the foundation for his own criminal empire, The Black Crescent.
Not long after that, his empire became the dominant factor on Biss and he now rules everything there with an iron fist.
He sits securely on his criminal throne and the few who dare to challenge him all meet a swift and brutal death.
Nowadays, Ak-Diir’s empire has spread to large parts of the galaxy and his minions ensure that he is always up to date with what is happening in the underworld.
Sett Rondo is a very famous bounty hunter from the planet Kortaar.
She had a privileged upbringing where she and her nest-mother lived in the floating luxury quarters of her hometown of Saa-aah Duualiib.
Up here, all the females live in the city and it’s laid out the same way all over the planet.
Sett’s mother, Dreesh Rondo, had a police-like profession and ensured that there was law and order in the city at night.
What makes this world unique is that it is the females who rule the society and everything is divided into two layers.
The upper layer consists of a planet-wide network of cities. These float up in the clouds and this is where all the females live.
The lower layer, far below the steep mountain lands where the males live, is the planet’s slums, and these are permeated by swamp-like marshlands where misery reigns.
Not long ago, the Black Crescent gained a foothold in several of the slums and has begun recruiting poor and muscular males into their organization.
The males, in the kortaarian society, are not allowed to work or decide over anything. They instead have a very different role in society and that is to train their bodies to
be as muscular and attractive as possible to their females.
They do this because the female Kortaars are known to be incredibly voracious and require a large numbers of life partners in their long lives. This is mainly because the
females have an almost insatiable sexual appetite that is well known in the galaxy.
They are known to be very brutal when mating and it is not uncommon for the males to be badly injured during the act.
Back to Sett Rondo, she went to the most exclusive schools and had a nice and harmonious upbringing.
All this changed one day, in the most brutal way, when she was 27 Earth years old.
Suddenly, a violent explosion occurred in Saa-aah Duualiib’s law-quarters while Sett was visiting her mother.
Many Kortaar females lost their lives in the attack and those responsible for the explosion were none other than the Black Crescent.
One of the females who died was Dreesh Rondo and if that wasn’t enough, several females were also kidnapped by the criminal organization.
One of the captives was Sett Rondo and for a very long time she was subjected to torture and violence and was forced to work for Ak-Diir, who was the leader of the Black
Crescent criminal organization.
Around 50 Earth years later, where she had become immensely powerful and strong and was among the toughest and most hardened Kortaar females in the galaxy, she managed to
escape from Ak-Diir’s henchmen.
For a long time she wandered aimlessly but eventually found her way to the megacity of Drax on the planet Vaath where she now makes a living as a fierce bounty hunter.
She is incredibly brutal and efficient in her new profession and there are few who can measure up to her.
Not long ago, she met the last human, Douglas Young, and when she saw him, an erotic fire of a rarely seen kind lit up inside her body.
He would, of course, become her life partner and when Douglas held out his hand to greet Sett, not knowing that it was the gesture where the male accepts to become the
property of a kortaar female, the matter was settled.
The royal palace of Drax has most of it. Everything from shimmering corridors in gold to mighty depictions of famous Vaath warriors on the walls.
The advanced KR-600 robots are a common sight in there and they are responsible for the incredibly strict security of the palace.
Considering the large workforce that manages the daily routines in the building, it is important that their health is always in focus. This so they can serve the king in the
best way during all hours of the day.
For this purpose, a huge medical ward has been constructed in the building.
This is located in the middle section of the palace and comprises 400 floors extending from the 350th floor to the 750th.
There are lots of machines here that are among the most advanced and expensive in the galaxy.
Here you can find everything for the patients’ well-being. Everything from finely calibrated laser instruments and radiation rooms to hologram assistants who read and study
the patients’ body values.
A Jing scanner is also installed on each floor. This instrument conducts continuous air sampling of the wards, looking for infectious diseases, including the deadly Krah
plague, which can devastate all life on a planet if not stopped in time.
What makes the healthcare department so efficient is that all medical procedures are overseen by a large group of robots belonging to the ultra-modern Las series.
Manufactured by Kurka Doarek’s technical institute on the planet Corann, this series is one of the most advanced models of medical robots avaliable in the galaxy.
The units have two arms and two legs and are over two meters long.
The actual chassis that makes up the body consists of nano-hardened Lann metallite. It protects the robot’s sensitive interior from radiation and other factors that can
negatively affect its internal sensors.
A computer screen is located in the center of the robot’s chest area. This screen is constantly connected to the robot’s patients and keeps track of their body values.
To facilitate interaction with the patients, who often are from different worlds, the head is constructed in a special way.
Instead of a mechanical face, the entire front consists of an oblong computer screen. This, in turn, projects the same type of appearance that the patient has. This is to
facilitate communication between them and, above all, to make the patient feel calm and safe in the sterile hospital environment.
An internal quad-core ISP matrix which, in turn, is serially connected to several Rooshak processors handles all the calculations and computing processes that the Las model
performs.
The processors are extremely fast and they can perform an almost infinite number of operations in an instant.
When Douglas Young had his own room in the royal palace on Drax and needed medical assistance, it was the robot 45-Las who took care of him.
One of the galaxy’s most famous singers. She grew up on the planet Kita Vuss in the Buloong Belt.
The life forms that populate this world are called Kivuss and are tall and athletic and have an unusually long life span of around 400 Earth years.
At an early age, Koloob’s parents noticed that their daughter had an exceptional talent and that was that she had an amazing singing voice.
When Koloob sang, she caused all those around her to fall into a harmonious trance and word of her talent spread quickly in her hometown, Viist.
Not long after, she was placed in the city’s university for musical instruments and energy singing, and by the time she reached the legal age of 100 Earth years, she was an
accomplished performer.
Now, when she was finally done with her studies, she had only one goal in life and that was to become rich and famous and live out her days in adorable luxury.
She succeeded with her life goals. She performed by herself and with other artists on the galaxy’s largest arenas and gained trillions of fans on thousands of worlds who
admired her above all else.
Koloob especially used to collaborate with the legendary energy singer Korda Yps which became extremely successful for her.
It didn’t take long before the fame and fortune went over her head and she became completely repulsive to everyone around her. She treated everyone as her subjects and the
only one she loved was herself.
She lived like this for a long time but her lavish lifestyle wasn’t entire without problems and her thirst for fame eventually landed her in the clutches of the galaxy’s
most notorious gangster, Ak-Diir, who was the leader of the Black Crescent criminal organisation.
In his captivity, she became the gangster’s prostitute and slave and was forced to perform in venues that did not meet her strict demands for luxury and opulence. In addition,
the profit hungry Ak-Diir took all her earnings and her life became severely limited by this.
Finally she had enough and after managing to sneak aboard one of Ak-Diir’s exclusive pleasure cruisers, when the gangster leader thought she was performing, she sought refuge
on the metropolis planet Selco Daas.
There she is now on the run from the cruel slave driver and lives her life far from the luxury and flair she is used to.
The most mythical and evil being in the entire galaxy is the leader of the new regime, K’tar.
Very little is known about this person and his entire existence is shrouded in an almost impenetrable obscurity of mystery. What is known is that he is a completely ruthless
being who has no limitations whatsoever. If there is something he wants, there’s nothing in the galaxy that can stop him.
He is always dressed in a thick, black hood and the only thing visible are two red eyes staring out from the pitch black opening where the face should be.
Because of this, no one has seen K’tar’s face or figure and no one knows what race he actually belongs to.
All this has only helped to create a dark and evil atmosphere around him and if you mention his name among people, it is usually dead quiet and everyone stares around anxiously.
It is widely known that K’tar has eyes and ears everywhere and he controls huge legions of black shadow warriors who loyally obey his every wish down to the smallest detail.
No one knows how much assets K’tar has but they must be huge as he has a gigantic fleet of ships all located in the so called ’forbidden zone’ of the galaxy.
Anyone who owns a spacecraft and travels in space knows about the forbidden zone very well and does everything they can to avoid entering its deadly confines.
The star travelers who have been foolhardy enough to challenge K’tar in any way have all met a quick and very painful death.
The largest vessel in K’tar’s fleet is his flagship, B’krakk, and that ship is rarely seen out in the open. He is said to live on board this particular craft, but there is
no concrete evidence of this.
Mostly everything around K’tar and his person is based on rumors and hearsay and no one really knows what is true or false.
The dark leader’s influence over the interstellar medium is very great. The galaxy is divided into four different regions and K’tar has full control over two of them.
The other two sections of the galaxy are called the free regions and in this way it has been divided for thousands of years. This balance of power has permeated the galaxy
with its precarious equilibrium… Until now.
Something very dramatic and unknown has occurred somewhere in the galaxy and people have detected heightened activity from K’tar’s regime forces everywhere.
Many people are afraid of the ongoing development and no one really knows what will happen.
However, wild rumors have begun to spread around the galaxy that K’tar is on the hunt for something big that could determine the entire existence of the universe.
No one knows what this could be about, but some have heard that the dark leader is looking for someone or something by the name of… Douglas Young.
The Demanthos space station was a collaborative project between the leading nations on earth and was the first step towards a decolonization of the hopelessly overpopulated earth.
The colonization of the planet Mars was still far too expensive a project so work on the Demanthos space station had to do for now.
Unsurprisingly, the project was met with a growing skepticism among the world’s population, and as time went on, the debate surrounding it’s construction became more intected.
The resources on earth at that time were severely limited and using a large part of these very resources to build a colony out in space was not welcomed by the polulation.
Endless debates followed and it didn’t take long before the majority felt that the money should be spent on something more important and more concrete than investing in high-flying,
diffuse projects that would still be of no use.
For a long time it looked bleak for the project until an asteroid struck without warning in the middle of the pacific ocean and caused enormous damage to the surrounding area.
The humanity was severely shocked by the event and the tital waves that followed from the impact claimed over 350 000 lives around the nereby coasts on both sides of the ocean.
Suddenly the critical majority saw the consequences of just such an event in a new light and understood how doomed we all would be if a significantly larger celestial body were to
strike our planet.
With immediate effect, the people demanded action from Earth’s leaders and a major investigation was launched shortly thereafter. However, the process was very complicated, but
after several years of protracted negitiations, a resolution was reached which was named Starhope.
Everyone thought it was about the criticized Demanthos project that had taken place a couple of years before but that was not the case here. Instead it turned out that the new
project focused on the creation of a giant anti-matter cannon that would orbit the earth. There it would watch over the planet and protect humanity against future asteroid threats.
It was an expensive and time-consuming project but finally, thirty years later, it was finished and locked in orbit around earth and ready for use.
The station was named Icarus from the greek tragedy and finally humanity had a chance to protect itself from the countless stone bumblebees that roamed out there in the dark
bosom of the solar system.
However, it became clear quite quickly that the Icarus station required large amounts of material to be operated properly, so in order to avoid the costly shipping from Earth,
the construction of the previously criticized colony, Demanthos, finally began in earnest.
Up there, people of all nationalities would learn to live in space and extract valuable mineral deposits from nearby asteroids while helping to operate the Icarus station in
the best possible way.
The new colony was placed on the giant asteroid Demanthos Y-0212 which in turn was at a stable point out in space, a so-called LaGrange point, 670 000 kilometers from Earth.
The celestial body had an impressive diameter of 26.3 kilometer and thanks to its rapid rotation around its own axis and with help of modern technology, it gave a gravity
that simulated Earth’s own to the colony.
Twenty years later, a small community of 16 700 individuals had formed and most of the residents now called the Demanthos space station their home.
